The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is responsible for the curriculum, Kindergarten to Year 12, for all NSW schools.

For the high school years, NESA develops syllabuses for all subjects in 8 key learning areas:

  • creative arts
  • English
  • human society and its environment (HSIE)
  • languages
  • mathematics
  • personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE)
  • science
  • technological and applied studies (TAS).

NSW schools also offer special religious education and special education in ethics via approved providers, where available.

Like all NSW schools, we have developed teaching and learning programs to suit our local context and the needs of our students.

Our curriculum

We are a coeducational, comprehensive secondary school enjoying high community recognition for our academic, cultural, community service and sporting achievements.

We enable students to 'achieve and excel' in a quality setting. A sound formal education is offered within an effective and widely recognised student services framework, catering for the learning needs of all students.

Our school motto, 'To tomorrow', helps to maintain a focus on the purpose of schooling in laying the foundations for the world of work and lifelong learning. We have a history of strong retention into Years 11 and 12, offering both a diversity of academic courses and a range of content endorsed, SVET and TVET opportunities to provide well supported pathways to both higher education and the world of work.

Students in Years 11 & 12 may also include a TAFE course as part of their senior study program. These courses are held on Tuesday afternoons at a TAFE campus.
