Vision statement - independence, initiative and involvement
The aim of the Special Education Faculty is to offer students the opportunity to have their specialized needs met in a classroom setting while also enjoying all the benefits of attending a comprehensive High School.
The Support Unit is fully integrated into the main stream High School and students are encouraged to participate in and are accepted as full members of the Kincumber High School student body.
All student Support Unit classes are significantly smaller than mainstream classes and provide students with the opportunity to learn in a supportive and learner friendly environment with a smaller student to teacher ratio.
The unit offers a range of educational and extra-curricular activities to give students the opportunity to develop into independent, confident young adults.
